Keep the patient
at the center.
Clinical care has a history, a plan, and a purpose. Practice software should preserve that context as the patient moves through appointments, documentation, and billing.
The story behind PBS EMR
PBS EMR began with the everyday challenges of running a therapy practice. The care was connected. The work around it needed to be, too.

THE COMPANY BEHIND PBS EMR
The care. The record.Practice experience, built in
PBS EMR was created by Eli Sternbach from his experience operating an outpatient neurological rehabilitation clinic and working in medical billing. Managing a practice meant working across clinical documentation, scheduling, insurance billing, and the follow-up that happens long after a visit.
The recurring challenge was continuity. The information existed, but understanding the next step often meant piecing it together again.
PBS grew from a practical goal: connect patient care with the records and practice workflows around it, so the team can spend less effort reconstructing context.
What shapes the product
Clinical care has a history, a plan, and a purpose. Practice software should preserve that context as the patient moves through appointments, documentation, and billing.
A note, a claim, or a records request should remain connected to the work that follows. Help the next person understand the context and continue the task.
AI can help with drafting and working with information. Clinicians remain responsible for reviewing the record and making clinical decisions.
A solo therapist and a multidisciplinary team have different needs. We tailor plans and implementation conversations around the practice that will actually use the system.
